Those who have been to Cuba often know that there are many tourism destinations to travel to while in the island, yet for the average Cuba traveller on short Cuba tours, trying to decide where to go and what Cuban cities, towns, and places of interest- such as Biosphere Reserves and National Parks to travel can be a daunting task.

The project of making a list of Cuba’s main destinations has proven to be hard for Authentic Cuba Travel® too. Given the fact that some of our directors have been born and even raised in Cuba, and that we have been involved in Cuba's tourist industry for decades doesn't make it any easier either. There are so many genuine attractions and activities in each province that is almost impossible to narrow down the list.

Cuba is bigger than what it seems in a map. Travelling by car from one point of the island to the other can easily take a day and be very expensive. So we decided to come up with a list of authentic Cuban destinations not to miss for those travelling on one week to two week Cuba education tours.

The list is not exhaustive by any means; it is just a guide of what it is not to be missed. There's more to visit than Havana City and Varadero beach which are the typical Cuban destinations promoted by almost all tour operators and travel agencies today. Havana City

Las Terrazas Eco-Community

Las Terrazas is a community of little more than 1000 inhabitants in the centre of an environmentally rich area known as Sierra del Rosario UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.



Topes de Collantes

Topes de Collantes, which is both the name of the natural reserve and the village here, is one of the best places to enjoy the Cuba's natural beauty.



Peninsula Guanahacabibes

The area is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and National Park and is highly protected. Its western extremity, Cape San Antonio, is the western most point of Cuba.



Varadero Beach

Couples traveling together automatically get a $200 discount ($100 per person).

You will also receive a $100 discount per each person that joins you on the trip. Invite 1 friend to join you and pay $100 less. Invite 2 friends and pay $200 less. Invite 3, and pay $300 less, and so on.

The people that travel with you will be grateful as they will also get an additional $100 per person discount.
